Sissels jul

It's time once again for Sissel Kyrkjebø and her beautiful "Sissel's Christmas". The tradition of this concept started in 2013 and is renewed from year to year.

Sissel says:
"Since this is a Christmas and winter concert, it is natural to include some of the cultural treasures we associate with Christmas and the season. At the same time, I want the concert to include songs from our own time and something completely new", she continues;
"I want to create a new experience for the audience every year, and my goal is for those who come to the concert to get the Christmas spirit, experience that the smile bands have been in action and get something to think about when they go out into the winter darkness".

Sissel is referred to as Scandinavia's Christmas queen and not without reason! For decades she has toured to full houses in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. She considers the Christmas tour to be one of the major highlights of the year.

This year, the premiere will be in Sweden on November 21, and will finish close to Christmas at the venerable Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. In between, the route passes through parts of Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
