Purchase, reservation and refund of tickets

You can buy tickets directly either via our website or in our serviced ticket office. You can also call us to make a reservation. We have a collection deadline of three days, from the time the ticket is ordered, for pre-reserved tickets. If you reserve tickets on the day of the performance itself, these must be collected no later than one hour before the start of the performance.
When buying tickets on our website, these can be printed at home or downloaded to your mobile. If you are waiting for tickets via email, also check your junk mail. Make sure you download the tickets so that you see a barcode or QR code. It is not possible to reserve tickets on the website.
Already purchased tickets are only refunded in the event of a canceled performance. Note that the ticket fee is not refundable.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange already purchased tickets for other performances.

We use Tixly as a ticket system. You can log in here to manage your purchases at cultural events.

Please note what is at the top and bottom of the floor map.
Everyone over 1 year old must have a valid ticket.

Payment methods

At the box office and on our website, we accept BankAxept cards (debit cards), credit cards and vipps. You can also request an invoice (easy invoice) on our website.

Rice/rose

Is there something you want to tell us or something you're wondering about? Send an email to: info@ibsenhuset.no

Gift card

Gift cards are sold both at our ticket office and on our website (Buy here). Unfortunately, purchased gift cards are not refundable, in accordance with the Sale of Goods Act. The gift card is valid as a means of payment for 2 years from the date of purchase. You can buy tickets for events after the expiry date of the gift card. NB! Gift cards can only be used at events affiliated with Ibsenhuset, i.e. not at places where Ibsenhuset only has ticket sales.

Serving

Our foyer bar is open during performances (one hour before the start of the performance).

Cycling and public transport

We encourage our visitors to think about the environment when visiting Ibsenhuset. Both walking and cycling are good for both health and the environment. We have secure bicycle racks mounted in the ground right by the main entrance (facing Lundegata). Ibsenhuset is only a five-minute walk from Landmannstorget (the hub for bus traffic) in Skien. Some routes also stop in Hesselbergs gate, right by the park outside Ibsenhuset. The train station in Skien is about a 15-minute walk from Ibsenhuset.

Parking

You will find good parking facilities near Ibsenhuset and in Bygarasjen, a 5-minute walk from the house.

Hearing impaired

Tele-loop systems are installed throughout Ibsenhuset. In Dovregubbens Hall, we have a newer Phonak system that runs on 2.4Ghz. If you do NOT have a hearing aid with the possibility of 2.4Ghz, we have neckband receivers on loan. We have 8 of these, so be quick to make a reservation by calling 35 90 54 54 90. We cannot guarantee available receivers.

Wheelchair

Ibsenhuset is well adapted for wheelchair users. If you want to sit in the front of Dovregubben's hall, contact the box office well in advance of the performance.

Safety and security

Unfortunately, prams and walkers cannot be brought into Dovregubbens Hall due to safety reasons in the event of an evacuation. For the same reason, we have no loose child seats.

Companion certificate

For all cultural events, those with a companion certificate receive a free ticket to the event when assisting disabled people and others who need assistance from a companion. Please state this when ordering tickets at our ticket office or by email; ticket@ibsenhuset.no, valid proof must be presented upon collection.

Wardrobe

At cultural events, we have an unattended cloakroom in the main foyer. Do not leave valuables in pockets or the like. Ibsenhuset has no responsibility for any thefts.

Lost property

Have you forgotten something with us? Contact us by phone or come and see us. We store forgotten items for 3 months.
