It gets crazy when author and presenter Liv Gulbrandsen puts on her feminist glasses and plows through twelve Harry Hole books to find out as much as possible about who the sleepy policeman Harry Hole really is.
And the questions loom in Liv's reading: How can a woman rest her chest on the steering wheel and drive at the same time? Is Harry Hole really smart or really short? Who are the women in Harry Hole's life? What are they thinking? Why are they often naked? And dead?
Author and presenter Liv Gulbrandsen wonders about this and much more. Through her humorous and effective review of the books, we may come closer to an answer, while also gaining insight into a literary phenomenon of our time.
Liv Gulbrandsen is known from NRK P3 and NRK Barne-TV, and is the project manager for Book Year 2019. Not least, she is known from "Shut up, it's Ibsen!" which has been performed to full houses at the National Theatre in recent years.
Since 1997, Jo Nesbø has written thirteen books about Harry Hole . The books have sold over 55 million copies, and have now been translated into more than 50 languages and sold in over 180 countries worldwide. Harry Hole has its own exhibition at the National Library. Netflix has made a TV series in which Tobias Santelmann took over the title role after Hollywood star Michael Fassbender had it in the film adaptation of The Snowman.
