Skiensjazzdraget: Bendik Hofseth Trio

On Friday, August 21st, the Skiensjazz team will be Ibsenhuset Visit from a trio in a special class: Bendik Hofseth, Eivind Aarset and Skien's own Audun Kleive!

Bendik Hofseth is one of Norway's most prominent saxophonists, vocalists and composers. In April 2026, he was appointed Knight 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav for his work for Norwegian and international music life - one of the highest recognitions a Norwegian artist can receive.

With him to Skien he has two musicians who have both helped shape the sound of modern Norwegian jazz: Eivind Aarset, known for his distinctive guitar universe of sound, electronics and poetic power, and Audun Kleive, one of the country's most creative and influential drummers. 

Together they create an open, intense and beautiful musical landscape – where jazz, improvisation, melodic nerve and electronic textures meet in an expression that is both organic, modern and deeply personal. This is not just a concert with three outstanding musicians. It is a meeting of experience, freedom and musicality at the highest level.
