Maria Mena celebrates 40 years and 25 years as an artist with a major Norwegian tour in 2026
In 2026, the stage is set for a double celebration of one of Norway's most beloved artists. Maria Mena turns 40 and also marks 25 years as an artist. This is celebrated with an extensive tour that takes her throughout Norway.
Ever since she signed a record deal in 2001 and broke through with “My Lullaby” in 2002, Maria Mena has given audiences a unique insight into her life and heart. Through nine critically acclaimed studio albums, including hits like “Apparently Unaffected,” “Cause and Effect,” “Viktoria,” and “And Then Came You,” Mena has established herself as a songwriter and communicator of the highest caliber.
Maria lives, writes and sings from the heart and is able to put thoughts and feelings into words, even those that for many feel heavy to bear and impossible to share.
Her talent has resulted in an impressive chart topper that includes songs like "I Don't Wanna See You With Her," "Just Hold Me," "You're The Only One," "All This Time," "It Took Me By Surprise," "You Live And You Learn," "Not OK," and the timeless classic "Home For Christmas."
As an artist, Mena is known for her deep honesty and vulnerability. Her courage and uncompromising approach to art, combined with her warm, empathetic and funny personality, make the music feel both unfiltered and nuanced. After a break in 2025, the 2026 tour will be an opportunity to experience Maria Mena's unique ability to communicate live again, and a celebration of her long career and personal journey. The concerts will span her entire catalog, delivered with the intimacy and closeness that audiences love her for.
2026 will be a very eventful year for Maria. She will be touring with the renowned Amsterdam Sinfonietta for 13 concerts in the Netherlands in January and recording a live album at the Oslo Concert Hall in February.
" I'm looking forward to it more than I can express, the break in 2025 has made me even more aware of how lucky I am with my job, colleagues and audience! I'm ready to deliver close, painful, hopeful and occasionally funny concerts again in 2026! " – Maria Mena
