Lørdagsjazz: Amanda Ginsburg

Experience Swedish jazz at its best!

Amanda Ginsburg is a multi-award winning Swedish jazz singer. She has been called Swedish jazz at its best, and together with Swedish pianist Filip Ekestubbe and Danish musicians Snorre Kirk on drums and Anders Fjeldsted on double bass, Amanda invites the audience to an evening of warmth, a little melancholy and a lot of humor.

The music is self-composed, but the landscape is familiar. Amanda manages the legacy of some of Sweden's most beloved Swedish singers and songwriters - in the footsteps that Monica Zetterlund followed in the 60s and that, for example, Lisa Ekdahl and Bo Kaspers Orkester renewed interest in in the 90s, where jazz, folk music, folk and pop elements are elegantly fused together.

Amanda Ginsburg has taken a broad audience in Sweden by storm and won two Swedish Spellemann/Grammis prizes, for both her debut album "Jag har funderat på en sak" in 2018, and the sequel "I det lilla händer det mesta" in 2020.

Now she is finally coming to Agder, Vestfold and Telemark, to play a total of nine concerts!

Collaboration with the Southern Norwegian Jazz Center.
