The first weekend without King Harald

We at Ibsenhuset Like the rest of the country, the news of King Harald's passing was received with great sadness. The first days without him were nevertheless full of beautiful moments.
Friday:
Open doors and warm greetings
When the sad news was made public, a lot of work was done to make Ibsenhuset to an extra nice place to be for those who needed a place to meet. It was decorated with flowers and candles, and coffee and cookies were set out.
On Friday afternoon it became clear that Ibsenhuset We also have a condolence protocol. Several people really appreciated that.
The protocol is still available during the opening hours of the box office.
Weekdays: 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Sundays: closed
Saturday: Drum march and children's drawings
This weekend's program on Ibsenhuset consisted of a concert with the rock band PLOPP on Saturday. It was decided that the concert would take place, to give the children something positive to gather around.
Together with the band, it was decided that a minute of silence would be challenging at an event where the target audience was children aged 2–10. Therefore, the concert was instead opened with a drum march in honor of King Harald.
The condolence protocol was moved from the reception desk to a separate table, so that both young and old could more easily write a final greeting. It was nice to see that many did just that.
A separate drawing corner was also set up, where the children could draw freely or color pictures of King Harald.
The program will continue as planned.
Until further notice, the program will Ibsenhuset continue as planned. Should there be any changes or cancellations in connection with the funeral, we will contact affected ticket buyers directly. We will also provide information here on the website and on our social media.
