Telemark Kammerorkester med Audun Sandvik

Telemark Chamber Orchestra (TKO) with artistic director Per Kristian Skalstad and cellist Audun Sandvik comes to Ibsenhuset with beautiful and atmospheric music for strings.

The concert features two main works: Tchaikovsky's "Andante Cantabile" for cello and strings, and an exciting new cello concerto by Norwegian composer Sverre Indris Joner written for TKO and Audun Sandvik. The audience will also be treated to music by Magnar Åm, Pachelbel and Bach.
Great, beautiful and exciting music for a dark October evening!

Audun Sandvik 's heartfelt playing and playful demeanor make him a sought-after soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician and cello pedagogue. He has been a soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra to name a few, and regularly participates in Norwegian and international chamber music festivals.

Telemark Chamber Orchestra is a professional string ensemble that was established in 1992. The orchestra is project-based and involves musicians from the Oslo region and Telemark, both from the freelance community and institutional orchestras, depending on the nature of the projects. TKO strives for artistic quality and growth through creative productions, and has worked purposefully to establish itself as one of the country's leading orchestras.
