Jonis Josef: Kaktus

DICE THROW SIX! “Cactus is something the white majority should not only see, but must see – I insist. (...) Jonis Josef gives the majority population something to think about with a perfectly executed autobiography” NRK

“With the new show «Kaktus», Jonis Josef is putting on the show of his life. Literally”Dagsavisen

Cactus is a performance where humor and seriousness merge into a higher unity.

Comedian and storyteller Jonis Josef invites you into a vivid, honest and often surprising portrait of a life shaped "on the edge." In Cactus, he conveys stories from his background, his journey and the choices that have made him who he is — with warmth, humor and seriousness that follow each other closely.

Kaktus is Jonis Josef's first solo show since "Woke" which premiered in 2020. Kaktus is an honest stand-up performance where Jonis digs deep and hard to reflect on his career, life, burnout, racism, ups and many downs.

Jonis has created award-winning series such as "Kongen Av Gulset" and "Kasko", been seen on programs such as "På Tur Med Monsen", "Kongen Befaler" and more. He also recently went viral worldwide on the American SoMe program SubwayTakes which has been viewed by over 20 million people at the time of writing.

The 2020-2022 Stand-up Prize winner has spent over five years completing Kaktus, and you are all welcome to get up close and personal with Jonis Josef and his unique, and at times strange, journey through life.

Jonis has spent the past year alternating between living in Oslo and New York and has received a lot of attention in the US. Kaktus is Jonis' last Norwegian tour before he moves out of the country again. This may be the last chance to experience the phenomenon Jonis Josef live!
