Åge Sten Nilsen & The Show Must Go On Ensemble pay tribute to Queen
Åge Sten Nilsen and The Show Must Go On Ensemble are back with a magnificent tribute to Queen – this time focusing on the band's first "golden years" in 1975–1976.
Queen is one of the greatest bands in modern music history. With immortal songs, iconic concerts and a unique musical breadth, they have continued to fascinate new generations through the film Bohemian Rhapsody , the musical We Will Rock You and a number of tribute bands around the world.
Åge Sten Nilsen started his Queen tribute as early as 2007. Until 2018, he toured the country with Norway's largest tribute show, The Show Must Go On – a grand tribute to Queen , and played to over 600,000 audiences. Mona Levin in Aftenposten described him as "Scandinavia's best Freddie Mercury interpreter".
Now he's back with a Queen tribute unlike any other. Queen – The Golden Years focuses on the period 1975-1976, when Queen created the classic albums A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races – and gave the world the groundbreaking superhit Bohemian Rhapsody .
These were the years when Queen showed their full musical range: from beautiful ballads like Love of My Life and You Take My Breath Away , to rock songs like Tie Your Mother Down and I'm in Love with My Car . The audience also gets to hear great anthems like Somebody to Love , The Prophet's Song , Teo Torriatte and of course Bohemian Rhapsody . In addition, the concert offers songs that are rarely performed by tribute bands, taken from the two classic albums. This is a concert for both Queen connoisseurs and music lovers. The evening ends with a "Best of" section with some of Queen's greatest hits - with a high sing-along factor.
Welcome to Norway's first and biggest Queen tribute!
