– An evening of love, legends and timeless country music
In 2027, The Boys Named Sue will mark their 15th anniversary and the celebration will be done in the only right way: On the road, with the songs that the audience never gets tired of hearing and singing along to. At the same time, Johnny Cash himself would have turned 95 in 2027. The anniversary will thus be a double tribute, to the band's long journey and to the legacy of The Man in Black.
With “The Johnny Cash & June Carter Show- 15 years from Jackson to Folsom,” the band takes audiences on a musical journey through the love, struggles, and songs that defined Johnny Cash and June Carter. The show builds on their previous successful show, “Duets of Two Darlings,” and elevates it into an anniversary year full of history, nerve, and joy.
Here you will find the immortal songs "Jackson", "It Ain't Me Babe", "Ring of Fire", "Folsom Prison Blues" and "San Quentin", performed with respect, empathy and communicative power. The songs are tied together by the story of Johnny and June: a partnership characterized by both resistance and unity, which left a deep mark on country music.
Since its premiere in 2025, the show has played to full houses from Tromsø to Stavanger. For over 15 years, the band has toured the country with this music, in cultural centers, churches and prisons. Always with the same goal: To convey the songs and stories with respect and energy. This is more than a concert. It is a story. A celebration of love, legends and timeless songs, and of a band that marks its 15th anniversary with what they do best: traveling the country and the beach with Johnny and June in their luggage.
Welcome on a journey filled with sing-alongs, emotions and timeless classics – from Jackson to Folsom.
