Janove Tour 2027

On May 1, 2027, Janove will perform with a top-notch band, full production, and the best songs from their 25-year career. They promise to play with both their hips and their hearts, and are ready to create magical moments that can become memories for a lifetime. Bring all your friends and come!

"Ten years since my first solo release. In 2017 I went on my first tour as a solo artist. After ten years, eight albums and hundreds of solo concerts under my belt, it is high time to get the band together again and embark on a bigger anniversary tour in 2027. From the early beginnings in 2017, I have continued to have my good friends with me, the Swedes Micke Lohse and Mattias Hellberg on keyboards and electric guitar respectively. On drums we have recruited the eminent Pål Hausken, and on double bass; Norway's best, my dear friend and long-time partner from Kaizers Orchestra, Øyvind Storesund. We also don't have a full team without talented people, Espen Alsvik on lighting design and camera production in a duo with my eternal right-hand man, Johan K. Berntsen on sound and tour production in general.

Much of the tour will be in a concert hall for the first time, often with a seated audience. That doesn't mean we're leaving our energy at home. Quite the opposite. We've put together a dynamic powerhouse with songs from our band albums such as; Det Sorte Karneval and Verden Går Til Helvete, songs from my piano albums such as; Bak En Sky Heim and En Større Dag spiced up with a couple of our favorites from both Hver Gang Vi Møtes and Kaizers Orchestra. Simply some of the best from my entire musical career. The great thing about standing here ten years after the first solo tour is that the repertoire has grown large and broad, and I can use my entire palette. Rock and theater, spectacular and intimate, laughter and tears. The whole spectrum. We'll cover most of it. 

It also feels as if the songs have been given new life as time has passed and the music has developed. Now we have put together a group of musicians who are able to convey the whole range – from the most delicate ballads to the most spectacular bangers. It is not certain that there will be a seated audience for the entire concert. The tone has been set, the ten-year anniversary is great! We promise to play with both hip and heart, and are ready to create magical moments that can become memories for a lifetime.

The list is made when the house is named after Ibsen himself, but we will do our best! We have so many good memories from Skien over the years. From the time as support for Morten Abel to small and large concerts with Kaizers Orchestra and all the way up to now, where I have met Julie Bergan, also from Skien. So I feel like we know each other a little, but come to our concert, and we will get to know each other even better! We will perform with a top-notch band, full production and with the best songs from my 25-year career. PS. Bring all your friends to the party! We will start with a seated audience, and we will see what happens.
