Hellbillies

A little piece of Norwegian music history at Ibsenhuset !

Few have contributed as many songs to the Norwegian song treasury as the Hellbillies. Eighteen albums, a number of hit songs and a lifetime of bringing music to every nook and cranny of the country. Throughout their career, the Hellbillies have been praised for their distinctive expression, founded on a fusion of American and Norwegian musical traditions. The literary qualities of the lyrics, combined with a musical weight, have inspired generations of artists who have come after them.
The recognitions have been many, from the Spellemann Prize's honorary award and "Spellemann of the Year" to awards from the Norwegian Music Association, the Norwegian Artists' Association, the Prøysen Prize and the Medaas Prize, in addition to glowing reviews.
Full concert halls and a steadily growing audience as new generations discover the song catalog speak for themselves. This will be a grand celebration of a band that has long since written itself into Norwegian cultural history, in surroundings where the songs really get to shine.

Hellbillies are Aslag Haugen (vocals, guitars), Lars Haavard Haugen (guitars, vocals), Bjørn Gunnar Sando (drums), Egil Stemkens (bass), Lars Christian Narum (keyboards) and Atle Aamodt (percussion).
