Trond moter: Sondre Lerche

Sondre Lerche is among the pop nobility in the music armada from Bergen. His music catalog is not only unashamedly good. He dazzles like a chameleon, regardless of place or environment around the globe: "LA tonight, Tokyo tomorrow. Ibsenhuset on Saturday March 22, 2025". Sondre Lerche will be given a life bath - in conversation with Trond Aarstad Jr. The guitar is of course included.

Sondre Lerche made his debut with the Spellemannspris as newcomer of the year in 2001 - aged just 19. 23 years later, there have been 14 albums, countless EPs and singles, as well as books - both for adults and children.

In the period 2005-2021, he lived in the USA, but did not leave Norway behind. An example is his appointment as "the year's most important artist" by DN for 2020. It came after a tireless tour around the country - with close to a hundred concerts.

Throughout the 2000s, Sondre Lerche has developed a distinct style, both as a musician and a writer. His book "All songs are about you" from 2020 is a cornucopia of musical experiences - where guilty pleasures only end up as one word: "Pleasure"!

He is a critic globally and is soon a prophet in his own country. Knock on the table.

In 2022, the album "Avatars of Love" will receive the Spellemann prize in the alternative pop/rock category. The perfect midway tribute in music life.

What's on the menu when you're both dangerously good at your subject and ever-blooming? When coupled with a rare running stamina, it is possible to imagine that Sondre Lerche can be a pop flower in our buttonholes as long as Dovre stands.

Welcome to both hear and look into a unique universe. It's Lerchetid!
