Skien Live 2025

Welcome to Skien Live 2025!
Skien Live is an annual music festival in Skien with local and major Norwegian artists on the bill.

Skien Live on Ibsenhuset ! Wonderful concerts, no weather restrictions! All concerts are indoors on the large club stage in Per Gynt, in addition there will be a small stage with DJ and other spices. There will be a bar, standing and seating inside, and the doors will be open to more dining and seating outside!

Friday, August 22:
Party night with rock!
Doors open at 6:00 PM, age limit 18 years.
Three concerts: CC Cowboys, Paal Flaata, Alma Ossavy

CC Cowboys: The band is an institution in Norwegian rock, and a clear crowd favorite with songs that catchy and lyrics that we know. The last time the guys visited Skien Live, they filled the place with party-loving people - we're looking forward to repeating the success and know it will be fun!

Paal Flaata: Throughout a recording career that stretches back more than 25 years, the last 20 of them as a solo artist, Paal has amazed those around him with a voice that seems out of this world. For 10 years, Paal Flaata fronted the band Midnight Choir, and by virtue of his magnificent voice he put the group on the European map. During these years, Midnight Choir managed to release five records + two compilation albums. They received the Spellemannspris for "Amsterdam Stranded" in 1998.
He will be coming to Skien Live in a trio format, get ready for a magical hour.

Alma Ossavy: Every year we put a name on the poster that is in the starting group, and that we believe should be discovered by more people. Alma Ossavy is one of them, despite her young age she is someone to take note of. Alma is a 15-year-old bassist, pianist, vocalist and songwriter from Porsgrunn, and in 2024 she received the Porsgrunn municipality's music scholarship for young performers. At the age of 14 she released the single "Be With You". Alma herself is responsible for bass, piano and vocals on her songs, which combine indie pop with jazz elements and draws inspiration from, among others, Talking Heads. At Skien Live she brings her piano with her and opens the festival Friday with four of her own songs - be there!


Saturday, August 23:
Party night with punk rock and rock!
Doors open at 6:00 PM, age limit 18 years.
Four concerts in total: Seigmen, Valentinerne, White Urine, Sunny Bleach

Seigmen: One of Norway's biggest rock bands takes over Skien Live this late summer evening! Legendary Seigmen released "Resonans" last year, to standing ovations from fans and critics. With new favorites and classics like "Döderlein", "Hjernen er alene" and "Metropolis", this evening is bound to be epic!

The Valentines are a rare commodity. Jokke's Valentines appear on stage at very irregular intervals, and it is highly recommended not to miss this opportunity.
Valentinerne consists of three members from Jokke & Valentinerne, of course without Joachim Nielsen himself. On stage we find none other than May-Irene Aasen on drums, Petter Pogo on guitar, Håkon Torgersen on bass and not least "Guttungen" Vidar Rugset on vocals and guitar! Vidar Rugset was once Valentourette's first vocalist, so he is by no means a novice in Jokke's music universe. Welcome to a unique concert experience, where you can experience songs like "To fulle menn", "Jeg er redd", "Sitter på en bombe", "Øl", "Sola skinner" ... and many more.

White Urine: This is a must-see! White Urine is a side project with Kristopher Skau and Stefan Høglin from The Dogs. The guys themselves say: "White Urine is not tight. We're not that into stash or gear, so if it's really important to you that things are played in a certain letter, then this probably isn't for you. And if you're the kind of person who likes your music "interesting", we DEFINITELY think you should stay home. White Urine is first and foremost for us. Stefan and Kristopher. Every band has a peak around the third rehearsal in their career. That's what's most fun. That's where we want to be. We release records all the time, we do too."
When they enter the stage, it gets fuzz and fun!

Sunny Bleach: Expect nothing but a punk rock party and pure energy when the band from Porsgrunn opens the festival Saturday! The band themselves say the following: "Sunny Bleach is the child born with a test tube cast in Porsgrunn's finest porcelain. The sunset punk quintet exists precisely to create warmth in an otherwise cold and industrial city."


Saturday 23 August, at 11.30-13.30:
Free family day.
Concert with the rock band Plopp and Skiens Skolemusikk
Storm acrobatics display, market, kiosk etc.
No ticket, just show up.

The festival area at Ibsenhuset :
There will be standing and seated seating. Do you want more comfort? We have a lovely VIP area on its own level (the mezzanine) with seating, a full view of the stage and a tapas buffet.

Food and drinks are sold on site, and there are indoor toilets (how lovely!), a handicap ramp, stable weather conditions and much more. Festival decor by a local artist!

We are going to rig Ibsenhuset to the most wonderful festival arena, where you as an audience member will not lack for anything!

Day pass: 775 (per day)
Group, 10 people or more: 700 (per day)
