This time Silje Nergaard has guitarists Hallgrim Bratberg and Håvar Bendiksen with him. Since 2010, the trio has toured the world and garnered a fantastic response for their concerts. They now invite the public to a close, intimate and playful concert experience.
Silje takes the listeners into the personal stories behind the songs. Håvar and Hallgrim's guitar playing really makes Silje's beautiful and unique voice shine. Their exquisite and dynamic dexterity and unique arrangements take Silje's songs into completely new spaces. They play with the completely quiet and beautiful to a jazzy turn.
On his new album "Tomorrow We`ll Figure Out the Rest", Silje has composed a collection of melodic songs inspired by classic jazz standards. Songs about life and love - universal themes that we can all relate to. In 2025, she will embark on an extensive European tour.
“This was my parents' pop music, music they sang and danced to. I grew up with this music and it became an important inspiration for me when I started writing my own songs. Jazz has always been at the bottom of everything I've created. But I've always tried to create my very own personal twist."
With this album, Silje returns to jazz, where it all began in 2001 with "At First Light", which opened the door to the international jazz scene. The songs have been recorded with her regular band for many years, and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. The arrangements are written by American multi-Grammy winner Vince Mendoza.
"I don't have it in me to go the easy and fast ways. I want to make beautiful and timeless recordings in today's volatile world and industry - we live in a time where things come and go and quickly, and are just as quickly forgotten. That is why it is so important to me to maintain a high artistic level in all stages. And I want my songs to be timeless, just like the songs that have inspired me to write my own.”
In addition to songs from the new album, Silje sings her well-known and beautiful classics, such as "Be Still My Heart", "Dance Me Love" and "Lullaby to Erle". Songs that have found a very special place in the lives of her listeners all over the world.
Look forward to a concert with a lot of humor and play in it.
