Riksteatret: I vårt sted

Riksteatret takes the National Theatre's critically acclaimed and Hedda Award-winning performance on tour!

"A play written for eternity (…) delves into how we reflect ourselves in others. And it does so warmly, interestingly and elegantly that the performance has become one of the year's biggest highlights on stage."
The Norwegian newspaper (6)

"In Our Place" is about the need to have someone in your life, about being there for each other, about being able to recognize yourself in another and how we come into being through the other's gaze. It is also about the underlying fear of being chosen, of being alone, of being replaceable.

We meet Astrid, who has had a long and close friendship with Eva, a relationship that has affected both of them. Recently, she has also met Sara, and a new and fragile friendship must be defined. Who can they be to each other? Can they have a larger and more important place in each other's lives than their time together would suggest?

The performance has sold out at the National Theatre and received rave reviews. On stage, you will experience Laila Goody , Ågot Sendstad and Ragnhild Tysse in a sparkling interaction. The play has secured the Hedda Prize for best stage text and best supporting actor, and playwright Arne Lygre has been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.

We all need someone, or each other, but we never need one specific one.
