Norsjø kammermusikkfest 2025: Ungarske strømninger

Once again, Norsjø chamber music festival adds one of its concerts to Ibsenhuset . We meet a fantastic group of young performers who will perform a varied selection of pieces from the world of chamber music.

The audience will hear a program that ranges from old to newer music.
We first hear Robert Schumann's "Märchenerzählungen" (fairy tales) before the living Hungarian composer György Kurtág deals with Schumann's inner world in "Hommage a R. Schumann".
The trombone is presented in all its glory when Telemark's own Runa Hermansen performs "Sonata vox Gabrieli" by the Croatian composer Stjepan Šulek.
The concert will also include features with local young performers from Telemark and prize winners of the Midgard Competition 2024.
Finally, in the concert, Johannes Brahms's masterpiece will be; Piano Quartet in C minor performed. Brahms was largely inspired by Hungarian folk music.
