Everyday racism, racial discrimination and people on the run.
Join an important conversation about everyday racism and racial discrimination when two prominent voices in anti-racism and social justice meet at Litteraturhuset in Skien .

Guro Sibeko, activist, author and SLAM!poet, has been one of Norway's most important advocates for anti-racism for many years. With a background in the anti-apartheid struggle and experience as a school principal and public debater, she has contributed to changing attitudes and creating positive social change. Through her books, lectures and artistic expression, she has challenged norms and shown the way for a more inclusive society.

Kristina Quintano , an award-winning author and journalist, is known for her involvement in the Mediterranean and her work to shed light on the refugee crisis. In her book Smugler eller grenselos? she takes the reader into the complex realities behind migration and challenges our prejudices about refugees and people smugglers. Her commitment to human rights and her deep insight into the moral dilemmas associated with migration make her an important voice in the debate about discrimination and racism. In 2024, she won the Brageprisen for the book Fluk t in the category of non-fiction for children and young people.

Through the conversation, they will both shed light on how racism and discrimination continue to shape our lives – from everyday racism to the major societal challenges. This will be an evening of both seriousness and hope, where we will gain concrete perspectives on how we can change attitudes and create a more just and inclusive society.

In conversation with Masoud Ghadimfallah, they will shed light on how racism and discrimination continue to shape our lives – from everyday racism to the major societal challenges. This will be an evening of both seriousness and hope, where we will gain concrete perspectives on how we can change attitudes and create a more just and inclusive society.
