The year 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth, which has been celebrated around the world. This performance is a jubilee tribute to the English author Jane Austen and her books and characters! Even today, her books are widely read by both young and more experienced readers, and her heroines are constantly given new life on television and cinema screens. Her insightful and funny portrayals of human nature, interpersonal relationships and societal issues mean that her books continue to captivate readers. In this musical concert performance, the audience will hear about Austen's life, meet several famous characters from the books, and be taken on a musical journey through Austen's life and literature. The performance has previously been performed in Tønsberg, Drammen, Oslo, Bø, Lunde, Skien and Porsgrunn. Peter Fjågesund narrates and Anne Lise Sydnes, Kari Lise Høgseth and Gudrun read and make music.
